Tropical Traditions Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil Review & Giveaway

There are several uses for coconut oil that a health conscious or budget shopper will appreciate since it’s so versatile.  As a frugal cook, I forgot about how much I loved coconut oil, but since I’ve had this on hand I’ve found several awesome uses for it.

The Tropical Traditions Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil is delicious and pure.  You can use it in baking, in smoothies or yes, even in your morning coffee for an interesting experience!  Tropical Traditions also offers some Free Coconut Recipes to get ideas.

Coconut recipes For health and because well, they taste good.

In the past, I’ve used coconut oil for my dry skin after showering.  At room temperature it’s a solid, but after rubbing it in your hands, it melts to a scrumptious smooth texture.  If you’ve used cocoa butter on your skin, you will love this since it takes less rubbing to melt and apply.  Plus, using coconut oil for beauty is surprisingly mild in both touch and smell.

If you’re looking to get healthy, I would recommend Tropical Traditions- the staff were responsive and helpful and I love that they have a huge selection of products!  They offer a variety of cooking oils, beauty products and stuff for the home as well with an emphasis on health and sustainability!

That being said- I love the company…apparently they love us too since they’ve agreed to send one lucky reader a free quart of coconut oil to try!  Click “Read More” for entry details!

Here’s a video they’d like to share with you- pretty snazzy!

My wife and I use coconut oil all the time. We cook with it, and also mix it with Shea butter to put in our hair and on our skin!

I love coconut oil for cooking and use it for just about everything.  I recently roasted a turkey breast–I rubbed the bird with coconut oil, then seasoned and roasted.

I had used coconut oil as a college student however since then I haven’t. Don’t know why I stopped, possibly due to the fact I had to buy it at health food store and it was hard to stop by there given my work hours. As a college student I used coconut oil as a multi-purpose moisturizer.

I JUST bought a jar of coconut oil.  I saw an article about coconut oil helping memory problems.  Lets HOPE this works.  I will also use it as a conditioner on my hair and moisturizer on my face and hands at night.

I have used coconut oil and I love it. I did notice some small improvements in my health when using too. I would use for a  lot of things like cooking vegetables instead of butter or olive oil sometimes.
